If antibodies are detected, we recommend contacting a general practitioner. The antibody test is for self-payers only.
The test can be performed at any time except when the patient has symptoms (eg fever, flu syndrome, cough, wheezing, etc.). In this case, PCR testing is appropriate and we recommend that you consult your doctor.
You can have it collected at any collection center, provided that it must be whole blood (red test tube without anticoagulants) and transported back to the Scimed laboratory at:: Šrobárova 50, Praha 10, Areál FNKV (pavilon K, 2. patro).
Alternatively, for a fee directly at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady, after paying the fee for collection at the main gatehouse (department for foreigners and self-payers). Then, with a confirmation of payment, you will arrive at COM (pavilion K), where you will have a blood sample, and with your blood you will only go up the stairs to the 2nd floor, where you will ring the Scimed laboratory.
The result of the examination will be communicated to you by email by a responsible laboratory employee. If the result of the antibody test is positive, contact your GP, who will inform you of the next steps.
Testing for companies
Want to know if you have had a coronavirus? A test based on measuring the presence of IgA, IgM and IgG antibodies in your blood will help you find out if you have come into contact with the virus in the past, or if you are currently having an infection. This infection may have occurred without any symptoms or with mild symptoms that you may not have considered significant. If you have symptoms, it is better to test by RT PCR.
